About Wings of Faith Church

Wings of Faith Church is a missionary church serving in El Alto, Bolivia with a passion to share the hope of Jesus Christ and build a strong community of faith.

The ministry began in 1991 through the missionary work of Ben and Carmen Gil, who faithfully served the people of Bolivia and later established Alas de Fe Church in El Alto.

Today, their daughter Denise Gil, together with her husband Marcelo Cruz, who is from Bolivia, continues that legacy as they pastor and lead the church. Their desire is to see lives transformed, families strengthened, and generations guided to walk in the truth and hope found in Christ

Our Story

Wings of Faith Church began as a missionary work through the vision and dedication of Ben and Carmen Gil. In 1991, they began traveling throughout Bolivia, visiting villages and sharing the Gospel through gatherings held in rented movie theaters and community spaces.

As the ministry continued to grow, God opened the opportunity to establish a permanent place of worship. In 1998, Alas de Fe Church was built in El Alto, Bolivia, becoming a place where people could gather to worship God, grow in their faith, and build meaningful relationships within the church community.

Their daughter Denise Gil grew up connected to this ministry and the work her parents began in Bolivia. In 2023, Denise and her husband Marcelo Cruz, stepped into leadership, directing and pastoring the church while continuing the mission that began decades earlier.

Today, they are committed to carrying forward the vision of building a legacy of faith for future generations in Bolivia.

Through discipleship, outreach, and ministry to children, youth, and families, Wings of Faith continues to serve the community and share the message of Jesus Christ.

Everything we do as a church flows from this mission. Through worship, biblical teaching, discipleship, and outreach, we seek to help people know God, grow in their faith, and live out the purpose He has for their lives.

Our vision is to see a growing community of believers who are passionate about sharing the Gospel and making an impact in their families, communities, and future generations.

At Wings of Faith Church, our faith is centered on the truth of God's Word and the message of Jesus Christ.

* The Bible – We believe the Bible is the inspired Word of God and the foundation for our faith and daily living.

* The Trinity – We believe in one God who exists in three persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.

* Salvation – We believe salvation is found through Jesus Christ alone. Through His death and resurrection, we receive forgiveness of sins and the gift of eternal life.

* Baptism – We believe baptism is an important step of obedience that publicly declares a believer’s faith in Jesus Christ.

* Communion – We believe communion is a sacred time to remember the sacrifice of Jesus and the new life we have through Him.

* A Relationship with God – We believe God desires a personal relationship with every person, and that through prayer, worship, and studying His Word we grow in our faith.
